A. HISTORICAL PROFILE

A-1:  HISTORY

     Bactad  East  known for its wide agricultural farmlands. It  was
formerly part of Bactad Proper (Brgy. P.T. Orata now). The mainstream
of this Barangay and its history is finally began  when prominent and
well-known active residents leaders like late Tenyentedel baryo Hipo-
lito Dela Cruz, Protacio Suyat, Efepannio Osian, Francisco Untalan as
well as  Florencio Manaois  seek the separation of this Barangay from
Bactad Proper.

     Through the persistent efforts of this leaders along awaited Mu-
nicipal  or  City  Ordinance  has  finally approved in 1964. Protacio
Suyat was the first Barangay  Captain.  Barangay Bactad East has been
fast progressive and likely  better place to live  in.  It is located
in the  Easternmost part of Urdaneta City which  is about Seven Kilo-
meters  from the City Proper along the provincial road boundary leadi
ng towardsBarangay Domanpot, Asingan Pangasinan.
