Base from the great ... great historian of his barangay,

Pangasinan women visit this place. During their visit, they've
noticed that the place was surrounded by guava tree, after which
they began to pick guava fruit and ate it.

While eating the guava, they laugh and coincidentally
stated that the best name for the place is "BAYAOAS", a Pangasinan
term for "BAYABAS", which is in ilocano term for "GUAVA". From then,
