HISTORICAL PROFILE

A. History

          Long before the outbreak of the World War II and even the
before the coming of the Spaniards to the Philippines this Barangay 
Casantaan as it has been called now and this  Barangay Casantaan is 
only  considered  as  sitio  of  its  mother  Barangay Cabuloan. As 
civilization and education expanded , the  people thought of making 
sitio as a barangay and to run their barangay government indepently,
but they could not finalized its name.
 
          The residence led by law  leaders suggested that its name
should  Casantaan  because  most  of its  resident  came from Santa 
Ilocos Sur. It was  surprising  because  these people came to trade 
with the people of Pangasinan. Up to  now, people from Santa Ilocos 
Sur are still visiting their relatives in Casantaan.

          God  fearing, Gained, competitive and tightened community
with a transparent  leaders. Peaceful and safer Barangay, Resilient
communities toward vibrant and sustainable development.

MISSION

          To  promote  peace  and  order  to  ensure the safety and 
convenience  of  our  constituents. Provide project and services to 
support  the  needs  of  the  people in our Barangay and presenting 
transparency  to  established  the cooperation of each residents to
have God-fearing, peaceful and developed community.

GOAL
   
          To  ensure general welfare of the inhabitants through the
implementation of responsive and quality programs and projects.

     B. To ensure the functionality of barangay based institution 
     c. To established proper waste disposal management system
     D. To increase income from local sources
