Pinmaludpod

HISTORICAL PROFILE

A. HISTORY

Barangay Pinmaludpod got it's name from the four children
earliest settler who came from the ilocos Region. Their names were
Pintang, Mayang Ludiang, and Pudang, being the first settler and the
oldest among the settlers who migrated, later he was chosen to be
their leader or Canesa. This man was strong, kind and considerate
that the settler's love, adored and respected.

One early morning, while helping the neighbor plant rice
and his children are still sleeping, a fire gutted his nipa hut and
engulfed his children. All the settlers mourned and condoled with
him. During the vigil, one suggested as a sign of respect and honor
to the dead children, that the first syllables of their names to be
coined together, Pin for Pintang, Ma for Mayang, Lud for Ludiang,Pod
for Pudang. Each one agreed and chemed the proposal this naming
their place Pinmaludpod.
