A. HISTORICAL PROFILE

A-1:  HISTORY
   
     Supotima comprises or four(4) sitios namely Sugcong,  Portugal,
Timbungan  and  Macalong. It lies on the  Eastern part of  Urdaneta
bound to Asingan. The original name of the barrio was Bactad.  Most
of the inhabitants come from the ilocos Region, where an identified
families were first to settle on the barrio.

     After a lapse of years Supotima regated itself as a barrio. Al
though most of the people were farmers who gather Barac-bac to wave 
slippers and different lends of bags, other raise pigs, cattle, car
abao, chickens and goats. They also planted fruit trees, orchard of
their own. Its principal crops were rice, corn, eggplants, tomatoes,
beans, mangoes and other vegetables.

     After a few years SUPOTIMA was renamed to Barangay TIPOSU thro
ugh  passing  a  resolution to the Municipal Government of Urdaneta 
from the midst 1962 to 1963, wherein sitio  Macalong  was separated 
as Barangay. The new name of this Barangayis TIPOSU.
